biNu Pty Ltd was founded in September 2008 by Paul Schlusser, Dave Turner and Gour Lentell, all of whom have extensive experience and past success in the technology, wireless and Internet industries.
With over half the world’s population owning a mobile phone today, but less than half that number having regular access to a computer, we are driven by a passion to help bring the reality of the Internet, along with its economic, educational and social benefits, to everyone.
The wireless mobile medium is different from the wired computer world. Mobile devices have small screens, tiny keyboards, limited hardware capacity and are serviced by inherently slower, less reliable and relatively expensive wireless networks.
Applying traditional Internet technology architectures (based on browser software applications running on powerful personal computers, interpreting and rendering HTML type data delivered over wired broadband networks) to the mobile wireless world has some fundamental problems. And widespread industry attempts to do so largely explains why most mobile Internet users have a poor experience, with frustratingly slow response times, at a relatively high cost in terms of data bandwidth usage.
biNu approached this challenge from the bottom up. We devised a patent pending software platform that delivers Internet applications to “low-end” mobiles with almost instant response times and efficient use of network bandwidth.
Engaging and effective mobile Internet solutions is about making them smart, simple to use, fast and focussed. The biNu platform enables mobile Internet applications to be developed quickly and easily using existing development tools and methods.
