Deliver extensive application capabilities to mobile internet devices with minimal requirement for hardware and network resources.
biNu’s technical architecture is designed and optimized for the efficient delivery of networked application services to mobile wireless devices. All application processing is server based with the biNu client limited to supporting user input, display and caching functionality. Extremely efficient, proprietary protocols are used for data transmission over the wireless connection.
At it’s simplest, the biNu client does not require operating system support, e.g. font rendering, screen layout management, file management etc., and can be deployed as embedded software, thereby substantially reducing hardware processing and cost requirements.
As an embedded software application, minimum requirements for the biNu client include low-end processor, ~100K RAM for program execution and drivers for screen i/o and user input. As a Java J2ME application, 600K heap memory is sufficient to provide a superior user experience.
Benefits offered by the biNu platform to mobile wireless device manufacturers include:
- Enabling extensive, high performance, interactive data application capabilities at minimal cost
- Application provisioning, management and upgrading performed on “back-end” services
- Low power consumption
- Competitive differentiation by providing fast, flexible, interactive, low cost, wireless data services
- OEM branding.
